Local Board and Delegate

SAG-AFTRA since 1974. Boards since 2017. Lifetime member the Actors Studio. We must protect the rights and futures of our fellow actors through truth, transparency and strong negotiation. I’ll continue to fight where I can for casting more women (the national/LA women's committees), minorities and seniors (LA seniors committee); for safe workplaces free from harassment (Chair/Founder LA Sexual Harassment Prevention committee, member National, a deeply personal mission); for a living wage and pension guaranteed by residuals; for affordable health care for all members. About Pamela:
After earning her Masters degree at the University of Michigan, Pamela studied acting in NYC with Uta Hagen and Lee Strasberg, and in LA with Walter Lott and Sandra Seacat. In her first film THE LAST TYCOON she played Robert DeNiro’s young secretary under the direction of Elia Kazan. Roles in TV and film followed, notably in NUTS, LIFE, CALIFORNICATION and THE M WORD. She created the role of Sarah onstage in THE THIRD DAY COMES directed by John Cassavetes opposite Gena Rowlands and Nick Cassavetes. She also co-hosted numerous programs on KCET with Wayne Dyer and husband Nicholas Guest. For a brief period she cast independent films helping to discover Julia Roberts (BLOOD RED) and Laura Dern (BLUE VELVET). She wrote, produced and co-directed the award-winning short film THE FIRST OF MANY which depicted the shocking sexual assault she endured at her first audition. She founded the first sexual harassment prevention task force within SAG-AFTRA and chairs the current local committee. She taught acting workshops for many years at her alma mater and for Michael Moore at his film festival in Traverse City, Michigan. She is a Lifetime member of the Actors Studio. She’s grateful to her children Producer-Film/TV Executive Will Rack and Actor-Director-Writer Elizabeth Guest for teaching her what love is, to her agent Peter Young for representing her and to Nick for everything.
